On May 17, WSCLC will be celebrating International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). May 17 marks the day in 1990 when being gay was removed from the World Health Organisation’s (WHO’s) International Classification of Diseases (ICD). Since the day’s establishment in 2004, it has expanded to not simply promote the rights of gay people, but also bisexual folk, intersex individuals and those who are transgender. For further information about any of this terminology, see here.
WSCLC will hold two stalls on the day: one in Parramatta, and one in Richmond! Join us in Centenary Square, Parramatta from 11am-2pm on Thursday May 17, 2018 to learn more about our services and get involved in IDAHOBIT. Parramatta Council will be flying a rainbow flag in the Square on the day. Join the event by clicking here. If you are in Richmond on May 17, we will also have a stall in Richmond Park from 3.30pm-7pm. We would love for you to join us! For more information, see this flyer.
You can also wear rainbow on the day to show your support! For further information about IDAHOBIT, check out this page.
