The Nepean Disability Expo provided a crucial chance for people with disabilities to learn about services and products to assist them with their everyday living. WSCLC solicitors Teresa Rubio and Corinne Kew ran a stall at the expo on 14 September in Penrith. They shared the stand with Amanda Brickwood of Disability Advocacy NSW. Corinne said, ‘ the day was such a huge success! We gave over 100 people brochures and information’. Teresa and Corinne gave referrals to community members, and helped them with their legal questions. They also made connections with fellow stall holders- many of whom were excited to learn about WSCLC, and promised to refer their clients to our Centre. Teresa stressed the importance of community engagement for people with disabilities, highlighting that it is one of the Centre’s target groups for services.
